i anticipated this track...i am some what a jay z fan...i was highly disappointed with this song...i mean hes trying to kill something but then leaves some people alone and his bad excuse from not exempting them was "they do it right they have melodies" aiming at kanye,weezy,t-pain....i mean come on i also heard the bp3 had alot of songs on autotune guess it didnt sound right otherwise he would of sold em....

and he could of did wayyyyyy more with this song creatively

I do agree with him by saying SOME people know how to use it, like Kanye and Pain .. Wayne can't it MOST of the time. and other people just uses it because they got it.
but Jay is basically saying that all of this bubble gum rap shit needs to go away, and we need to bring back the old HIPHOP. I love it!

Ok...I aint a Jay-Z fan at all...With that being said, this is the BEST song & video I have seen since "T.I. - Dead & Gone". I LOVE the message that this song has sent, I think the video was different & on-point, and I endorse this shit, fully. Old he may be, but Jay is better than 98% of rappers who are currently in the game. Fuck autotune, Fuck wayne & T-pain's use of autotune and every other person who does it. Let that shit die please...THIS IS HIP-HOP.

it was a concept album, so his lyrics was like he was in the mind and body of Frank Lucas .. so he wasn't saying HE was an american gangster, it was simply him playing the character of the movie thru his lyrics.
