49ers Fire Mike Nolan & Promote Mike Singletary!!!!!!!

After a disappointing 2-5 start this season the San Francisco 49ers
have decided to waste no time firing their head coach Mike Nolan.

Nolan has had a 18-37 record in his four seasons with the 49ers and
they haven’t shown any signs of improvement during his tenure.

Nolan will be replaced by assistant head coach and hall of fame linebacker Mike Singletary for the rest of this season.

“I think Mike Singletary will do a good job,” said Marques Douglas, a
defensive lineman with the 49ers from 2005 through ‘07, now with
Baltimore. “He definitely has the respect and ear of everybody in the
locker room. When I was there, it meant so much to me to have him in
there. It was real encouraging to see how humble he was in helping us
get better.”

Singletary knows what it takes to be a great player in the NFL but does
he know what it takes to become a great head coach? We’ll find out but
he seems to have a great relationship with all of the players.
