Beanie Sigel and Freeway Not Happy With Def Jam Bfree10

Their membership and importance in one of hip hop's most important labels to date is undeniable. The rode for Jay, Dame and Biggs and brought us, the fans, numerous bangers to bump. After the Roc-a-fella split, things fell apart and it looked like it was over.

Dame went his way. Jay went the other way (meaning....the corner office) and it looked like we were all going to suffer by not getting the music we wanted from Free & Beans. Until last year, that was what was to be expected now a days. Then the crew started to come together again. Beans would show up at Freeway performance and Free would make appearances with Beans. It was lovely and then word came that they would both be dropping albums at the end of last year.

The albums came and went without making a peep. They both barely cracked 100,00 and something just did not connect. Not surprisingly, Freeway and Beanie Sigel are now starting to come out against the lack of promotion and the lack of overall push both albums got. Although they don't say it directly in the interview, they ARE NOT upset with former president of the label Jay-Z.

Check out the interview below:

Deadlines will get you every time and its cool for Beanie to admit to himself that the product he put out there wasn't the best it could be. It takes a real man to say he didn't create the hottest ****. Now a days, so many rappers are CONVINCED their **** is the hottest....even the wack rappers! Why? Because your songs are like your babies. We've seen some ugly babies in our time and no matter how butt ugly the kid might be, their mothers always think they are the most adorable, precious little thing in the history of the world.

Back to the point, Def Jam made Beanie turn in the record because they were trying to get meet their 4th quarter quota (Remember DJ Clue's The Professional 3.....that was another case of this). Bottom line. If Beanie had the clout he once did, he wouldn't have to serve their deadlines and could turn in the album when he saw it as complete.
