RUMOR: Former Jam Master Jay Murder Suspect To Write Book Rdmc10

The one time murder suspect of Jam Master Jay is now seemingly making a living off writing about famous Queens murders. Several weeks after the murder of Jam Master Jay, the NY Post (really just a tabloid) ran a story stating that they had identified the prime murder suspect in the Jam Master Jay murder case and the man was wanted by police. The motive? Money....of course. The Post fingered Curtis Scoon and while he was eventually questioned, Scoon was never arrested and never had charges press against him. The murder of Jam Master Jay remains unsolved.

Since then, Scoon has become more and more successful in the writing and producing realm of the entertainment business. He first wrote a first person story in 2003 that was published in Playboy titled "Framed and Defamed" which was a great read (Unlike you, we read the articles in Playboy....we swear). He has also served as a co-producer for BET's running series titled "American Gangster" that each week features the life and eventual downfall of a criminal drug lord or mob boss. Now, Scoon seems to be taking on another writing assignment about another famous murder. We're hearing that Scoon is going around to movie studio's pitching a story based on the murder of a Queen's police officer in 1988.

Why the story of Officer Edward Byrne you might ask? His murder helped shape the police like state of New York City in the 1990's and led to the election of Rudy Giuliani in 1994. We aren't entirely sure why Scoon feels the need to surround himself with stories of murder, corruption and other criminal activity when he himself was the subject of an investigation. It's like OJ coming out with book after book after book about the murders and trying to get money off of it....oh wait....that happened. DAMN!

Scoon isn't doing anything wrong though, it just might not look that good on paper. A one time murder suspect writing a movie about a murder? Hmm. We're sure he was cleared for good reason but just think about how that sounds. Why doesn't he go into banking or something? Lol. Wait....a bank would never hire a one time murder suspect. Nevermind.

Is Scoon just doing him and making his paper? Or is he trying to capitalize off his 15 and be known as this one trick pony who was involved in a famous murder case and can now write about famous murders?
