Judge Suggests Mediation In Game Suit, Sets Trial Date For March!!!!!!!

The Game (born Jayceon Taylor) has been recommended for mediation by
a Superior Court judge for his alleged assault and death threat against
a basketball coach at a City Hoops game in 2007.

Prior to amending his complaint, pro-amateur coach Shannon Rodrick
filed suit against Game on March 13 for assault and battery,
negligence, and civil rights violations.

Although Game and his attorney were absent from court yesterday,
Rodrick's attorney, Portasha Moore, was given the option of mediation
for the rapper.

"I hope Mr. Taylor will answer and defend this lawsuit," she said to the Contra Costa Times.

The lawsuit stems from the February 2007 incident where Game's
basketball team, Litemup, was being pummeled by Rodrick's Blazers.
According to reports of the incident, Game allegedly approached Rodrick
during a time out saying, "Your team is garbage" and "You guys are
nothing but a bunch of busters." When Rodrick went to respond to the
rapper, Game allegedly punched him in the face and went to his car to
get a gun saying, "I'm going to blast this fool."

Rodrick ran and hid in the gym until Game left the court.

Game plead no contest to possession of a firearm in a school zone and
served 8 days of a 60-day sentence. He was subsequently ordered to
complete 150 hours of community service and to spend three years on
probation.

At yesterday's court proceedings, a trial date was set for March 30, 2009.
