Manny Pacquiao Leaves Training To Check On His Money!!!!!!!

Philippino boxer Manny Pacquaio left his Los Angeles training camp
Sunday to return to the Philippines in order to personally check the
state of his finances. Pacquiao is scheduled to take on Oscar De La
Hoya on December 6, but the turmoil in the economy is a bigger issue
for him at the moment.

Manny’s decision surprised those close to him although he’s not expected to be away from training for long.

From the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

Manny Pacquiao abruptly returned to the country Sunday night,
reportedly concerned about how the economic crash suffered by several
banks and investment firms is affecting his multimillion-dollar savings
and investments.

Pacquiao reportedly wants to personally make sure that his money in the
banks are secured and not adversely affected by the crisis that began
in the United States but has been felt all over the world, including
here.

Philboxing said that Pacquiao is to immediately fly back to the US to
resume his training for the fight, which could earn him an estimated
$23 million—the biggest ever in his career.

Manny literally has his own money, and is gonna rake from the De La
Hoya fight, but if he’s really worried about his cash why’s he flying
to the Philippines to check on his banking accounts? Wouldn’t a phone
call, email, or fax have been more cost effective?
