Microsoft is working with UMass to develop a wireless
internet system specific for cars. The core of this solution is a new
concept called steady signal, which relies on a series of multiple base
stations to provide signals. The goal is to make Vi-Fi cheaper that the
current cellular broadband systems used by Chrysler and BMW. Users will
also be able to access uninterrupted VoIP and streaming video and
audio media. Another great distraction that we are likely to love!
