Yep...You are looking at what is likely to be the personal
transport of the future. The linear motor car was showcased at the
Ceatec exhibition in Japan recently. A magnetic field holds the vehicle
two or three centimeters above the tracks as it moves along. Projected
speed is well over 300 mph. At those speeds I'm thinking they are going
to need a windshield.
