Final Moments Of Armed Robber Before He Is Shot Dead By Pigs Marksmen!!!!!!!
His pistol aimed directly at a terrified security guard, this is the
dramatic moment when a ruthless armed robber's 'luck ran out.'
A gang led by criminal mastermind Mark Nunes had netted £500,000 in
a series of meticulously planned raids across the south of England.
But his 18-month crime spree was halted with brutal efficiency by
police marksmen seconds after he aimed his gun at the Group 4 employee.
His accomplice, Andrew Markland, was also shot dead.
This dramatic picture was released today as four men were found guilty at Kingston Crown Court of being part of his terror gang.
Three other men - Leroy Hall, Leon McKenzie and Brian Henry -
pleaded guilty to being part of the gang before the seven-week trial
began and all the men will be sentenced at a later date.
By the time Nunes and Markland were shot dead, the gang had already
hit 18 security vans as guards transferred money to high street outlets.
Guns were used in some of the raids and the robbers didn't hesitate to use violence if the cash-boxes were not handed over.
The gang struck at some locations twice and one security guard was
targeted on two separate occasions while making cash deliveries.
Nunes was described in court as 'meticulous, careful and hard-working'
and had enjoyed 'considerable success' in his criminal enterprises.
After being released from prison for similar robberies, he quickly
began recruiting for his gang among criminal networks in south London.
Each raid was carried out with meticulous planning. A series of
reconnaissance trips carried out in advance and gang members ordered to
turn off their mobile phones during the raid.
But by using cell-site analysis, detectives were able to place
conspirators at the scenes during the "recce" trips in the weeks before
the robberies.
By the summer of last year, officers from the Metropolitan Police's
Flying Squad had Nunes and his accomplices under surveillance and were
lying in wait at Chandlers Ford. It was the day Nunes' 'luck ran out,'
the jury was told.
The court heard that the day after Nunes' death another robbery,
said to involve Johnson, was carried out in Colchester. Prosecutors
said it might have been carried out in Nunes' memory by his close
friend.
Police found a TomTom satnav device in Johnson's girlfriend's car
on which the locations of many of the robberies had been downloaded.
Speaking after the verdicts, Detective Inspector Terry Wilson, of the
Met's Flying Squad, said the deaths of the two men remain 'deeply
regrettable.'
He added:' We are a bespoke unit targeting those who commit these types of crime.
'The fact we exist, along with today's convictions, should serve as a warning to all those who would consider such an offence.'
He added: 'I would also like the public to note that although these
offences may be seen as "victimless crimes," the truth is far from it.
' These offences not only left many of the guards traumatised, but also
would have an impact on the people whose homes were burgled to steal
the cars the robbers used.'
