Kanye West & Rhymefest Link With Comedy Central For New Show

Aside from constructing material for his fourth solo project, 808’s & Heartbreaks, as well as Jay-Z’s, Blueprint 3 set, Grammy Award winning rapper/producer, Kanye West, has also found time to link up with Comedy Central for a new muppet oriented show titled, “Alligator Boots”, which is tentatively slated for a 2009 debut.

The half-hour pilot is currently being produced by Jackhole Productions, a company founded by Jimmy Kimmel, Daniel Kellison and Adam Carolla. Jackhole Productions was also responsible for the creation of the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series, “Crank Yankers”.

West, who will serve as a host on “Alligator Boots”, will also produce songs for the series, as well as perform alongside fellow Chicago rapper, Rhymefest, who shares executive producing duties with Kanye. The thirty minute pilot, which hopes to maneuver in the same lane as the original “Muppet Show”, will feature a different celebrity guest host each episode.

Kanye’s fourth Lp, 808’s & Hearbreaks is scheduled for a December 16 release via Roc-A-Fella Records/Def Jam Records.
