According to Jay-Z’s understudy, that’s exactly what he is.

In an interview with HipHopGame.TV, Memphis Bleek defended his decision to appear in a commercial for Garnier, a shampoo line.

“That’s branding yourself,” Bleek explained. “Making yourself into a
brand. That’s what that’s called, I don’t think niggas understand that.

“You get get off the plane in Ireland and that product will be on the
shelf,” he continued. “When you see that product here, you see that
there. And you get a hell of a check. They gave me a hell of a check to
fuck with the bitches.”

In the clip, a fictitious girl group sings about the shampoo and toward the end of the clip Bleek appears rapping a guest verse.
