Beef Between Busta Rhymes and Interscope Over His Release??

Plagued with the ever familiar Interscope problems of delays, push backs and lack of promotion, Busta Rhymes eventually went to Jimmy Iovine and requested his release because of the handling of his new album "B.O.M.B".

The album was originally going to be called Before Hell Freezes Over then Back on My Bullshit, then Blessed and was also originally planned for a release in December of last year. However, it was delayed to June and then July 1, 2008 and then finally it has been delayed again to December 9, 2008 since Busta was given his release from Interscope records.

So how did the meeting go down? What was said and were there any problems with the release? The answer may surprise you. Check out the video below:



It's great that Jimmy gave Busta the respect that he deserves and ultimately is giving the record a chance by moving it to Universal Motown. Interscope has a huge slew of releases this 4th quarter (supposedly albums from 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Eminem and more) and Busta would have just been lost in the shuffle. We think Jimmy made a wise decision and an even smarter business move. Busta Rhymes' relationship to the label is an asset in the long run and will help benefit their artists. This is why Jimmy is in the position that he is in.
