Ying Yang Twins In Label Limbo

Since their last major label release in 2006, the Ying Yang twins have been lost in the shuffle. In an effort to make some money and keep their name in the spotlight, they released an album with independent small time label BCD. It failed miserably and of course did not live up to expectations.

They were seemingly on top of the world nearly 5 years ago based upon their relationship with crunk beat maker extrodinare Lil Jon. They were responsible for the hits such as, "Get Low", "Salt Shaker", "Wait (The Whisper Song" and appeared on Britney Spears' third album. So what the hell happened?

TVT happened. That's what. The label eventually went bankrupt because they were not running their business properly. Since they were going broke, the company refused to properly promote and market the albums of their artists because the budgets could not get based. Hence, you had Pitbull trying to hold out and eventually releasing a failing album. Then you had Lil Jon refusing to release his album. Then Ying Yang eventually released their album Chemically Imbalance in 2006.

So what are the Ying Yang twins trying to do now? They are currently looking for a home for their next album that they consider to be a legit studio album. The problem? It may have just been too long since they really blew for them to be able to reclaim any spot they had towards the top. Hip Hop has moved on and perhaps they need to as well. Ying Yang had some bangers and we still bump The Whisper Song, but the deck might be stacked against them.

Are they even worth anything to the fans anymore? Will it even matter if the music is hot or are they just a gimmick and a group that you can never listen to because you don't respect them?
