Rick Ross Putting Out DVD To Explain Controversy? Rr10

There is no doubt the Rick Ross has been in the spotlight lately and not necessarily for good reason. At the top of the year, Ross was arrested by Miami police and charged with a felony for carrying a concealed weapon and with a misdemeanor drug possession charge. Then in July, TheSmokingGun.com, produced details linking Ross' social security number to a two-year stint as a correctional officer in a Florida prison facility, along with a photograph supposed to be Ross in his correctional officer uniform.

Then the cover up begain. Ross stated that the photograph was doctored and that it was just his face photoshopped over a prison guards body and adamantly denied that it was him. Eventually, pay stubs were released and more pictures to prove its authenticity. After nearly 3 months of silence regarding the issue, Ross finally admitted that it was him (Even though by then, it was pretty much a fact....everybody admitted it but him) stating that he did it when he was 19 years old for about a year and a half.

Since then, Ross has been trying to focus on the future and the bigger picture. He is recording his new album and still doing shows promoting Trilla.

Now comes word that Ross is in negotiations to film and put together a DVD detailing his upbringing, teen years, his time as a CO and then his transition into the drug game in Miami. Finally admitting that he hid some aspects of his past from his fans and the public, this is a blatant attempt to set the record straight and make the truth known. We aren't hearing that this will be coupled with "Deeper Than Rap" but will be a separate documentary sit down interview kind of piece for the fans.

We aren't sure if this is going to work. It would have been better for Ricky to just come out from the jump and tell the truth. All he would have had to say was "Yeah, its me, I was 19, I needed paper and I did it for a year and started slangin' after that"......But No. He decided to keep it real by keeping it fake and deny the evidence that said otherwise.

Will you be open to hear what Rick Ross has to say? Does the CO-Gate (doesn't work, does it?) scandal even matter to you as long as his continues to make hot music?
