Top Def Jam Executive Found DEAD.... Suicide

Sad to report to you that Shakir Stewart, Executive Vice President of Def Jam, has passed away. The music exec was found in his home with a single gunshot wound to his head. And while the official cause of death has not been released, MediaTakeOut.com has learned that police suspect suicide as the cause.

Stewart was one of Def Jam's most prolific executives. He was responsible for signing top artists, including Young Jeezy and Rick Ross.
