Tisk tisk. After a prank gone wrong, one of the UK's most popular talk show hosts has just lost $2 million dollars after being suspended without pay.

The BBC's Jonathan Ross, 47, and comedian Russell Brand, 33, called actor Andrew Sachs and left messages taunting him about a fictional sexual relationship between Brand and his granddaughter Georgina Baillie, 23.

The prank continued when the pair joked about Sachs killing himself upon hearing this sleazy news.

"He (Ross) will not be paid by the BBC during this period. The fees that would have been paid will be deducted from his BBC contract," said director general of the BBC Mark Thompson.

Ross will be suspended from broadcasting for 12 weeks. But the fall out continued.

Brand resigned Wednesday, saying in a statement, "As I only do the radio show to make people laugh I've decided that, given the subsequent coverage, I will stop doing the show."

Even the Controller of BBC Radio 2, Lesley Douglas stepped down in shame of the prank gone wrong.
