Em Preparing To Clean House At Shady Records?!?!?!? Em12

So it's been over 2 years since Shady Records has had a release by an artist. That artist was Obie Trice and the album eventually sold just over 100,000. The album was doomed from the beginning based upon the constant push backs and BET's refusal to play the video because of Em not agreeing to appear on their awards show. Since then, the label has been stagnant and has not released a full fledged album. The Re-Up was regarding as a mixtape/album and did well, but still didn't get the correct push it should have.

What's the reason? Has it been because Em has been holed up recording new material for his new album? Has he lost an interested in the label or what? We've talked to people inside Interscope who work closely with the Shady camp who say that while Em has not been actively pushing the label, that is all about to change.

The source told us that Em is ready to clean house at the label and start from scratch. Much similar to what Diddy has done in several years. Out was G. Dep, Loon and Mario Winans and IN was Danity Kane, B5 and Day 26.

So just who is looking to get dropped?

- 50 Cent - 50 will not get dropped of course. But do not expect him to resign with the label following his greatest hits album next year that will fulfill his obligation with Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. So 50 Cent is now gone.
- Bobby Creekwater - Gone. By next year, likely towards the end of the year. He has been signed for several years and has no buzz or album scheduled.
- Ca$his - Gone by 2010. They put out an EP that failed to make a dent or increase the buzz in this artist.
- Obie Trice - Already Dropped and is looking to put out his new album out 2Q of next year.
- Stat Quo - Already dropped and don't look for anyone important to pick him up.
- DJ Green Lantern - Dropped nearly 2 years ago after caught on video tape encouraging Jadakiss to go at 50 harder.

Just who is going to be left on the label at the end of 2009? Look for Em himself and D12 to be the only remaining artists. They came in together and are ready to exit the game together. Whenever an artist run label has signed multiple acts, the acts usually suffer. Just take a look at how many signings the Roc had and did not come out. Just look how many signings G-Unit had that did not come out. Shady is the same way and its about to come to the light (GET IT? GET IT? It's a joke).
