Katt Williams Admitted To Mental Hospital

Reports are saying that comedian Katt Williams was admitted to a South Carolina mental hospital Friday (November 14) following an odd string of events.

TheItem.com reports that Katt Williams was admitted to Tuomey Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.

The day began with a call to Sumter, SC. police.

According to Maj. Perry Herod, officers responded to a call in regards to suspicious behavior by Williams taking place at the Mount Vernon Inn.

Hotel employees were reportedly prompted to call police at 8:30 am due to Williams strange attire of a bathrobe and a towel wrapped around his head.

No charges were filed at the time and officers left.

Following the call, Williams showed up at the office of attorney Garryl Deas. The attorney says that Williams came to solicit his help although he was not hired.

Deas said Williams told him he felt the police were "attempting to violate his rights" and the comedian continued on talking about his entertainment career and how people thought he had died in a plane crash.

Deas spoke with Williams until 9:30 am at which time the attorney had to leave for a court appearance. Williams decided to wait for Deas and when the attorney returned to his office at 10:30am, he says that the comedian's demeanor had changed.

"His demeanor was a little troubled...disoriented" said Deas.

A short time later family members arrived with the hopes of taking Williams to be committed.

"He just said that he doesn't trust anyone anymore," Deas said. He said he thought "everyone has turned against him. He wasn't really coherent."

Williams allegedly began speaking "gibberish" at which point deputies came to pick up Williams based on an order to commit him to a mental hospital.

Holly Chase, a PR person for Tuomey, would not confirm that Williams had been committed there saying "I don't have any information on that patient."

If you ask me, i think he got a hold of more of that famous "Krypto-Chroni-Kinda-Like" lol
