The Roots To Become HOUSE BAND For Late Night Show !!!

For supporters of world famous hip hop band, The Roots, this news may seem bittersweet. According to recent reports, the crew's current European tour may be their last, but they are also said to be picking up a new high profile gig.

Black Thought and the crew will be temporarily retiring from touring in March 2009, report says.... But what may seem like bad news is ultimately going to be a good look for the iconic Philadelphia crew as they are set to be the house band for Late Night when Jimmy Fallon replaces Conan O'Brien in March of 2009.

It was previously announced that O'Brien would be taking over hosting Jay Leno's hosting duties on The Tonight Show.

In an effort to promote their new collaboration, Fallon and The Roots hit up Philadelphia's Fishtown section where they shot a new video at the Kung Fu Necktie.
