Lil' Boosie HANDS OUT `Toys & Turkeys In Louisiana !!!
Southern rapper Lil' Boosie (born Torrance Hatch) gave back to his hometown residents yesterday (November 26) by hosting a special "Thanksgiving Giveaway" event in Louisiana.
According to Baton Rouge's WAFB, Boosie was on hand at the McKinley Alumni Center giving away various prizes including bicycles, board games and school uniforms to attendees. Along with the gifts, the rapper also provided 1,000 turkeys to local families in need.
In addition to showing support by running the event, the Baton Rouge-bred emcee reportedly made the day special by talking and interacting with people as they waited in line.
The turn-out reportedly worked out as each item, including the turkeys, were all given away.
In related news, Boosie was recently placed behind bars after being arrested for possession of drugs, weapons and resisting an officer in Louisiana last month.
According to Louisiana's Advocate, the "Wipe Me Down" rapper approached deputies in his Dodge Challenger while on the road in East Baton Rouge Parish around 4 p.m. on October 22 after authorities reportedly smelled the scent of marijuana.
Boosie was then arrested by deputies and placed into Parish Prison on counts of marijuana possession, possession of a firerm with a controlled dangerous substance and attempting to run from law enforcement.
