Blake Fielder-Civil Says.... I MADE My Wife Amy Winehouse A JUNKIE

Amy Winehouse's husband has admitted he made his wife a junkie - and he plans to leave the troubled pop star to "save her life."

"I dragged Amy into [drugs] and without me there is no doubt that she
would never have gone down that road," Blake Fielder-Civil told us in
an explosive new interview.

"Now I have to let her go to save her life. I am not abandoning her. I am doing this out of love."

Blake Fielder-Civil, who likens his relationship with his wife to that
of Romeo and Juliet, is currently in a London-area rehab facility where
he has resided since his Nov. 5 release from jail.

Winehouse has still not visited her husband since he left prison, but
was hospitalized again on Nov. 20 for what her rep says was a "reaction
to medication." It's unclear whether she has been released.

"I introduced her to heroin, crack cocaine and self-harming. I feel more than guilty," Fielder-Civil says.

According to the 26-year-old, his Grammy Award-winning wife, 25, took
up heroin, cocaine and self-mutilation under his influence, "and then
our lives fell apart."

Winehouse almost died in front of her husband last summer, he says,
when she suffered a seizure after an all-day heroin and crack binge.

“My wife, who I love with all my heart and soul, just started shaking violently in front of me," Fielder-Civil recalls.

"It was heartbreaking, seeing someone you love more than yourself,
someone you would die for, someone you would kill for on the floor
shaking.

I knew f---ing then that I had ruined something beautiful. It was all my fault."

Fielder-Civil also confirmed reports that his wife cheated on him with her manager's assistant, Alex Haines.

"They started taking heroin and crack. And temptation just got the better of the pair of them," he says.

Fielder-Civil says he forgave his wife's indiscretion, but won't take her back when he leaves rehab on Dec. 30.

"The most dignified thing I can ever do in my life is to release somebody I love from my f---ing grasp, from my clutches. "

And the one-time music video assistant insists he won't go after his
wife's reported $15 million fortune - even though they don't have a
prenup.

"If Amy wants a divorce I'm not going to fight her for anything," he said. "I'm not taking a single penny off her."

It's been a rollercoaster year for Winehouse, who has been in and out
of the hospital for illnesses reportedly related to her drug addiction.
Despite displaying frequent erratic behavior both onstage and off, the
singer nabbed five Grammy Awards in February. And now this ...

Says Fielder-Civil: "I will do anything for her — and that includes walking away."

Winehouse's rep had no comment on Sunday.
