Arrest Warrant Issued In Hells Angel Leader Slaying!!!!!!

SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco Police Department has issued a $5 million arrest warrant for a Modesto man with alleged ties to the Mongols Motorcycle Club suspected in the slaying of Mark Guardado, a local Hells Angel leader who was shot and killed on September 2 in the Mission District.
A search warrant was served Thursday morning at the Modesto residence where the 35-year-old Christopher Ablett lives with his parents and two children. The suspect was not on the premises when officers arrived, but the search resulted in the seizure of a motorcycle and other potential evidence, according to police.

The warrant issued is for murder in connection with the September 2 slaying of Mark Guardado, 46, at about 10:30 p.m. outside a bar at 24th Street and Treat Avenue in San Francisco's Mission District, police said. The warrant includes the additional charge of possession of a firearm by an ex-felon.

Ablett is reportedly a member of a rival motorcycle club the Mongols. Several witnesses to the September 2 fatal shooting said that the man fitting Ablett's description who shot Guardado was wearing a Mongols jacket. The Mongols are based in Southern California, but there are local chapters in Modesto and San Jose, authorities said.

Last week, police said Guardado was recently in Sonoma County court, facing felony charges in connection to an altercation in Petaluma last February.

On the evening of February 10, Guardado and the vice president of the Sonoma County chapter of the Hells Angels, 31-year-old Jonathon Nelson, got into a fight in Petaluma with a patron at McNear's Saloon & Dining House, Petaluma police Sgt. Jim Stephenson said.

The patron was knocked out in the fight, Stephenson said.

Guardado and Nelson were arrested at the scene on charges of assault with great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon and gang enhancements, Stephenson said.

Both men were later released on bail, but Petaluma police seized Guardado's Hells Angels jacket with his president's patch sewn on, and still have possession of the jacket, Stephenson said.

The Mongols and the Hells Angels clashed six years ago at Harrah's Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. The incident left three people dead.

The slaying of Guardado is one of numerous fatal shootings that have plagued San Francisco's Mission District in the past couple of weeks.

On Tuesday, authorities confirmed that Giovanni Lechado, 28, of San Francisco had died at San Francisco General Hospital of his wounds suffered in a shooting last Thursday. He was the latest victim of the Mission Street violence.

Lechado, his wife and their 4-month-old daughter were sitting in a car at 18th and Bryant streets when someone opened fire about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, according to authorities. His wife was also injured, but suffered non-life threatening wounds.

Noel Espinoza, 19, and Matthew Solomon, 23, also died in a Thursday shooting after they were attacked outside a bar near 24th and Utah streets that is popular with the rival Norteño gang.

Other victims include:

Samuel Mitchell, 47, who was killed Aug. 22 at 26th and Folsom streets.
Jorge Hurtado, 18, who was shot and killed Aug. 24 at Treat Avenue and 23rd Street.
Marcelino Canul-Castro, 24, who was fatally shot Sept. 1 at San Carlos and 18th streets.

Authorities said there had been no arrests in any of the killings.
