Halloween Havoc In HARLEM!!!!!!!

A Harlem mother was nabbed Saturday for fatally plunging a knife into her son's father when he came to pick up the little boy to go trick-or-treating, cops said.

As the deadly fight between his parents erupted Friday, 2-year-old Darryl Taylor Jr. waited in the apartment, dressed in his Batman costume, relatives said.

The child's mom, Adele Louis, 25, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with killing Darryl Taylor Sr., 31, because she was enraged he had not bought his son a winter coat, police and relatives said.

"My son is dead over a coat for a 2-year-old boy," said Taylor's heartbroken mother, Sheery Rock, 46, who lives across the street from the murder scene.

Police said the stabbing happened about 4 p.m. inside Louis' W. 141st St. apartment, but it was unclear if her toddler witnessed the violence. Police found the boy alone inside the apartment.

"I ran up to the apartment and spoke to little Darryl after I heard what happened, and I don't think he knows what happened," Rock said.

"He was just sucking on a lollipop, looking confused. I don't have the heart to tell him his daddy is dead."

A neighbor said Taylor stumbled into the building's lobby, clutching his chest.

"He was bleeding from the chest," said the neighbor, who said her name was Brenda. "He said, 'Help me! Help me!' Those were his final words."

The woman said Taylor collapsed in her arms.

"I saw Adele walking out of the apartment a minute later - she was just walking slowly," said the neighbor, who called 911.

Louis, who was charged with second-degree murder, was being questioned at the 32nd Precinct stationhouse Saturday.

Rock said Louis had confronted Taylor earlier Friday at his apartment on St. Nicholas Ave., throwing bleach in his face because he hadn't purchased their son a coat.

She said her son reported the incident to police, but did not want to press charges against Louis.

"When the police came, they told Darryl he should get a restraining order, but he never wanted to see her locked up," said Rock, adding that Louis had previously threatened her son with a hammer.

Rock said her son, who worked as a Fresh Direct deliveryman, was about to give Louis money to buy their son a coat when he was stabbed.

"Darryl was a great dad who was trying to do right for his baby," Rock said.
