Suge Knight Reality Show CANNED Before It Aired?!?!?!

So almost 8 months ago, a trailer appeared about an upcoming reality TV show starring former Death Row CEO Suge Knight. The premise of the show (of course) is Suge and his proteges trying to build his new label "Blackball" records. Also in the show, Suge is open with his feelings about Snoop, Dre and other Death Row artists. At the time, Suge said "It ain't like the fake reality s%^t. It's a lot of stuff going on but you gotta watch the show to see what it is. It's like real life. So whatever it is it's real life. If you see me in Compton, I'm in Compton. Watts, South Central, Inglewood wherever the f%^k it is. No matter where it is. We do it how we do it."

Since then, of course Suge has been in his fair share of trouble. In May, Suge was in an altercation outside of a Hollywood nightclub and took a lead pipe to the side of the head and was knocked out for 3 minutes. In August, Knight was arrested on drugs charges, as well as assault, after leaving a strip club near the Las Vegas strip. When police arrived on the scene Knight was beating his girlfriend of three years while holding a knife, and had on him both Ectasy and hydrocodone. He was later bailed for $19,000. Since then, LVPD have attempted to contact his girlfriend but she has been missing. Hmm. Isn't that strange?

So what happened to the reality show? Well....in case you haven't seen it, here is the trailer that was previewed almost 8 months ago:



Word is that because of Suge's recent legal troubles, the networks are wary to pick up the series with the negative publicity that surrounds Suge. In fact, the series was filmed and created WITHOUT a network deal in place. Most reality shows (the ghetto bootleg kind.....not shows like The Apprentice or Survivor) film prior to getting picked up and shop around a trailer to the networks in an attempt to get a deal. Seems like it didn't work out with Suge and he may have prematurely announced the show's airing to the public. Bad look, right?

Does this surprise you at all? Is Suge just doomed for bad publicity or does he deserve the rap he gets?
